The Elephant and The Rope

Once upon a time. A person once was walking through an elephant camp in a village, and he seen that the elephants were not being kept in the cages or held by the use of iron chains or any other extra equipment to lock the elephant. And he went into the camp then he closely looked at the elephant's leg for how they are kept there without cages or any equipments.

All other strong equipments that was for holding them from escaping the camp, but here done by a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

The man has a doubt about the elephants, he was totally confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their full strength to break the small rope and escape from the camp. They could very easily have done so, but instead of that, they didn’t even try to escape from the camp. Because of the small rope on their leg.

He became so Curious and wanting to know the answer from the trainer, and he asked a trainer nearby that why the elephants were just standing still there and never even tried to escape. Before listening to the reason why elephants are kept here with only a simple rope, He had many ideas in his brain and also he told one by one to the trainer of this elephant. After hearing all the answers from the person,

The trainer smiled and replied;

“when they are very young in age and much smaller in their size we used the same size rope that we are using now to tie them at that age. When the elephants are newly taken from forest, they tried more to escape from the rope. They trace everyday with the full power but they can't escape from it. It’s enough to hold them in that time. But we know these elephants are very big now and they can easily cut the rope. But the elephants assumed that As they grow up, they are conditioned to strongly believe they can not break that rope away. They believe that the rope can still hold them for anytime, so they never even try to break free from the rope.”

The only one reason is that the elephants weren’t breaking free the rope and escaping from the camp in the young age and they adopted to belief that it just wasn’t possible. After listening to the speech of trainer, the person realise the situation of the elephant as ours. And he left from the camp by full of confidence.

Moral of this story:

No matter how much the world tries to hold you back in a worst situation, always continue with the hope that what you want to achieve is easily possible. Believing you is the best successful and it is the most important step more than you actually achieving it.
